Our Founder's Journey
Maria Santos founded Healthy Cooking Hub after spending years struggling with her own relationship with food and nutrition. Working as a home economics educator in Manila, Maria noticed that many Filipino families wanted to cook healthier meals but lacked clear, accessible guidance that respected their local food culture and budget constraints.
Rather than pushing restrictive diets, Maria developed a teaching philosophy centered on learning what real, whole ingredients do for your body—and how to prepare them in ways that honor Filipino culinary traditions. She spent three years researching regional cooking methods, interviewing nutritionists, and testing recipes in home kitchens across Metro Manila and beyond.
In 2023, she launched Healthy Cooking Hub as an online learning platform, believing that education—not marketing—is the key to lasting dietary change. Today, thousands of Filipinos visit the site each month to discover how simple cooking shifts can support their wellness goals.
